How it connects
- The player, REAPER, Ableton Live, or Prest, owns the project, playback, and transport.
- Prest Server runs beside it: inside REAPER as a plugin, next to Live through its Remote Script, or inside Prest.
- Your devices open it at
http://prest.local/over the same private network, or at the host computer's IP address when local names do not work.
A show needs no cloud account or remote service. The browsers still need the local network to reach the host: without it, they cannot control the show.
Run the show on a network your band controls, such as its own router or a phone's hotspot. The network guide covers the setup.
