Backups and data
What a backup contains
Section titled “What a backup contains”A Prest .rpbak file contains songs and setlists. It does not package the underlying REAPER projects, Ableton Live Set, audio files, or every browser preference.
Export
Section titled “Export”- Open Setup.
- Find Export Backup in Data.
- Choose Download Backup.
- Confirm that a timestamped
.rpbakfile downloads. - Store it with the show’s other backed-up project material.
Import
Section titled “Import”- Keep a copy of the current export before importing.
- Choose the backup import control.
- Select a valid
.rpbakfile. - Wait for the import result before leaving Setup.
Expected result: imported songs and setlists are assigned new IDs and merged into the current catalog while their internal song references remain connected.
Browser-local data
Section titled “Browser-local data”The current browser stores performance selection, preference toggles, theme, onboarding state, project configuration, and connection preferences. Clearing browser site data can remove those local choices without deleting DAW files.
Wipe clears runtime and browser Prest state and returns to onboarding. Export first, verify the downloaded file, and read the confirmation dialog before continuing.
