Prest adds a browser-based Editor, Performance view, and Setup area around a running REAPER or Ableton Live host.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need:
- A compatible Prest package installed for the DAW host.
- A band-owned router or hotspot.
- The host computer and browser device on that same private network.
- A prepared REAPER project source or Ableton Live Set.
Choose the host
Section titled “Choose the host”- REAPER supports a folder of separate project files or sections in one marker-based project.
- Ableton Live currently uses one Live Set divided by locators.
Understand the connection
Section titled “Understand the connection”The DAW owns playback. The Prest runtime runs beside it and serves a browser interface. Browser actions return over the local network to the runtime and then to the DAW.
Expected result: opening the host’s Prest address shows the application and its connection state, without a cloud login.
Next: Build a first show.
