Prest adds a browser-based Editor, Performance view, and Setup area around a running REAPER or Ableton Live host.

You need:

  1. A compatible Prest package installed for the DAW host.
  2. A band-owned router or hotspot.
  3. The host computer and browser device on that same private network.
  4. A prepared REAPER project source or Ableton Live Set.
  • REAPER supports a folder of separate project files or sections in one marker-based project.
  • Ableton Live currently uses one Live Set divided by locators.

The DAW owns playback. The Prest runtime runs beside it and serves a browser interface. Browser actions return over the local network to the runtime and then to the DAW.

Expected result: opening the host’s Prest address shows the application and its connection state, without a cloud login.

Next: Build a first show.
