Song fields

The domain supports ID, name, duration in seconds, host path/section reference, optional document format/path, tempo, key, notes, and tags. Not every field is necessarily editable or displayed in every current view.

Backup format

Extension: .rpbak. The payload contains songs and setlists. Import creates new IDs and preserves imported setlist-to-song relationships while merging into the current catalog. The binary schema is internal protocol data and is not promised as a stable third-party interchange format.

Host terminology

• Project source: Location or host scope from which Prest obtains songs.
• Multi-project: Separate REAPER project files.
• Single-project: One project divided into song sections.
• Active setlist: Selected ordered show sequence.
• Runtime: Local Prest server operating beside the DAW.
• Stage device: Approved browser client on the private network.

Tested browser configurations

Current product E2E configuration covers desktop Chromium, iPad Safari, and iPhone Safari. Minimum versions and other browsers are not published as supported.

Known limitations

• Public installation packages and compatibility versions are not available.
• Ableton is single-project only.
• Prest has no authentication and is unsafe on untrusted networks.
• No service worker means fully offline browser/PWA use is not supported by current evidence.
• Focus/swipe behavior, failover timing, and multi-client limits are not publicly guaranteed.
• No public support, issue, contribution, security-report, or source repository URL is configured.
